Where did November go?

It was here, and now it is the last day and it is almost gone! I'm afraid to blink in case I miss December. We went home for almost a week this past week for Thanksgiving. My little mess named Piper lived up to her title. She poured out my grandmother's Scentsy warmer all over her wall, and she peeled wallpaper off my grandpa's kitchen. I was NOT happy with her. Thankfully great grandparents don't get phased by too much that their great grandchildren do. They were happy with an apology. Unfortunately my step-grandma wasn't home so she couldn't get an apology. I'm pretty sure she will care a little bit more than my grandpa.

Allisyn had one of her extreme tantrums. It wasn't pretty, but we survived it.

Our neighbor came over last night to complain about the yappy little rat dog barking all night. Michael explained that we had been gone and he couldn't leave the dogs inside for 13-14 hours. He was understanding and the dogs spent the night inside last night. Until 4 am when she needed to go out.

I got a letter in the mail today that says I have to go to court in March in regards to an accident I was involved in over 4 years ago. It was my fault, no one is denying it. The guy is just trying to get more out of the insurance company than they feel he deserves. I just wish they would deal with it so I don't have to do anything with it anymore. Do they really think I like reliving the accident in my MIL's car on my 2nd anniversary with my 6-week-old baby in the car? Because I really don't.

Miss Gabbie is doing really well. She took my cousin Jacob this past week. He is home for the first time in 3 years. He will be home for Christmas too! We are really excited about that! He's stationed in Alaska right now and in June will be transferring to Hawaii. Tough stuff right?

I'll try to do a picture post soon. I know you all LOVE to see the girls! :-)

Today...

Could have been better. Piper woke up at 1:30 needing to go to the bathroom. This was after not making any attempt at all to go during the day. It took her about 2 hours to go back to sleep. Meaning I was up for over 2 hours as well. I had my alarm set to get us up and ready to go and as soon as it went off, Gabbie decided she needed to nurse, and nurse, and nurse some more. Michael came home and brought breakfast from Braum's since he had to stop and get milk. I ate mind in bed while Gabbie was doing her marathon nursing. Alli had breakfast with her daddy and got dressed and all ready for church.

I got clothes ready for Piper and Gabbie and Michael stayed up to help me get everyone ready. I had a sinus headache but I was determined we were going make it. Then we woke up Piper. We gave her a few minutes to try to wake up before we threw in the towel because it was clear she was not going to be awake enough and in a good enough mood for me to handle on my own. So we stayed home. It ended up being for the better because my headache came close to having me hugging the toilet. Thankfully the girls behaved while watching a movie while I laid back down with Gabbie and I was able to sleep it away with the help of some meds.

Our day was ok. It had it's ups and downs. Then Piper started getting whiny and clingy and you probably guessed it. Ended up with a fever. Seriously!?! We tried to see if someone could take Alli to church because she was really wanting to go, but it didn't work out. So we all stayed home. Piper had a rough night and fell asleep shortly after 8. Alli went to bed about 10 and Gabbie is still awake nursing and talking. Which is better than an hour ago when she had some gas bubbles that were making her very unhappy.

I did get my office/craft room better organized. Half of the room is mine the other half holds the play kitchen and a few other toys. I now have it set up where the girls should know where to stay away from. Emphasis on should.

I have also made great strides in purging toys from closets and the play room. They are going to get donated and have made room for all the junk, I mean presents, that will find their way into our home over the holidays.

Now I'm off to carry on some more conversation with Gabbie. She's not appreciating it being one-sided.

Another late night blog

Right now I'm laying in bed listening to a snoring contest between my husband and my dog. It's not pleasant. I try to shake Michael to get him to turn or roll over or something, but he just whines that he can't help it and continues snoring away.

Life has been treating us well. Miss Gabriella is 3 months old. I know, right? When did that happen? She is growing so fast, but she is smaller than the other girls were at this age. Meaning I've had to buy her some warmer clothes because she can't fit into the ones we have from Alli & Piper.

Piper is a tall one. She has to wear 3T tops because she has a longer torso. She's got a few 2T pants that are too short for her too. Thank goodness for cinch waisted jeans or they wouldn't stay up.

Alli has always been in bigger clothes. I'm sad that she is in big girl clothes now because she is only 4! I want her to be able to dress like it.

Both of the big girls really enjoy school and are doing really well. Piper is working on potty training. We aren't trying to push it too much. We are letting her choose the pace. I will be super happy when we only have one in diapers again!

I have not purchased a single Christmas present yet, though I think I have a good start on my lists. Michael will be working Christmas this year so we are planning on Christmas day with my family at our house. I'm excited about it!!

Well the snoring has lessened from both parties. Hopefully I will be able to get to sleep before it starts up again.

Car Shopping

I'm sitting at the dealership with Michael and Gabbie. Remember back on my birthday in June when my wonderful husband finally caved into my whim that we needed a vehicle that would fit all 3 car seats in one seat? Then remember when I complained that the 3 car seats did NOT fit, even though the car salesman assured us they would?k

Well, my amazing husband is once again dealing with my whim and we are getting yet another new vehicle. My darling husband has accused me of being narrow minded. I had select vehicles I wanted to look at. He, trying to get me to "open up my mind" got me to look at an Escalade. Yes, that's right a Cadillac. I would have NEVER even sat in one before this. (yes, I really can be close-minded sometimes) Now, that has come back on him and we are signing papers on a 2006 Cadillac Escalade. No, it is NOT very Financially Peaceful, but we fell off the Dave Ramsey wagon earlier in the year.

We ARE going to get back on at some point. For now, I'm going to enjoy our new ride that has lots of room and fits all the car seats!

I should be sleeping...

My mind won't shut off. I'm listening to the sounds of Michael and Gabbie sleeping next to me and the sound of the monitor.

What is going through my mind at 11 p.m. you ask? Ok, so maybe you don't. I'm going to tell you anyway. The holidays. Michael has to work both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. It totally sucks and needless to say...I'm not happy about it.

That and I have no idea what I'm going to get anyone except for great grandparents. The girls do not really need anything. Maybe some more clothes, but they usually get plenty. I'll for sure get some books. Their "big gifts", I haven't a clue. Since we aren't very good at following Dave Ramsey's advice, the budget is going to play a bigger factor than in years past. I know we will get it figured out, but right now, it's what's keeping me awake.

I tried posting a picture of Michael and Gabbie showing that she is a daddy's girl too, but it didn't want too.

Now I'm going to attempt sleep again.

I didn't forget

I know I said I'd update and add some pictures yesterday, but I didn't make it up to the desktop yesterday. So I decided to get the blogging application for my phone. Since I always have my phone with me, I can always blog! Hopefully I can figure it out so it's quick and easy. So as promised, here are a few pictures.

Piper on an ice cream date with mom.

Alli modeling a hat I made.

Alli and Gabbie.

Gabbie and her giraffe lovie.

Piper and Gabbie

So there you go! A picture update! That was actually pretty easy so I really won't have an excuse not to be a better blogger. More to come.

First Post

Not being able to sign into my old blog, and not wanting to only update through email....I started this new one! I promise to update more!

Things here are great! Miss Gabriella arrived on August 8th. She is now 10 weeks old. Last Tuesday she weighed 11.11 lbs putting her in the 70th percentile. She was 23 1/4 inches which is in the 80th percentile. She suffers from reflux but is doing better with medicine. She is smaller than Alli and Piper were at 2 months. The big girls absolutely adore her. They love to hold her and talk to her. They are absolutely wonderful with her!

Michael and I celebrated our 6th anniversary on August 21st. It has been a wonderful 6 years and we are looking forward to many more!

Alli's playing soccer and taking dance. I'll be glad when Piper can participate in something. Not so much for the additional running around, but to give her something extra to look forward to.

Well it's 11 and I should be getting to bed. I'll do some more tomorrow. Including pictures!!
